Using animation to describe and diagram dutch-inspired intersection design, Nick was the first to name Protected Intersections and to articulate design elements and functionality of the Dutch-inspired facility design treatment in a way palatable to North American engineers.

Th video was a viral internet video hit promoted acceptance in North America, ushering in a new solution to address persistent protected bike lane design challenges.
